Landscape Design
“Turning your ideas into well-planned, thriving gardens.”
The Design Process
Our design process is clear and structured, broken into defined stages. It begins with an initial consultation to discuss your goals and requirements, likes and dislikes, and any problem areas within your garden. From there, a design fee is agreed upon in writing, forming a clear contract of engagement before work begins.
Initial Visit & Consultation
The initial garden consultation comes with a small fee to cover time and travel. This session is the first step in engaging Garden Spaces for garden design or expert advice on transforming your outdoor space. Whether you're planning a complete redesign or looking for suggestions to improve a specific area, we'll provide tailored guidance based on your needs.
During the consultation, we’ll take photos and measurements of your garden. Afterward, we’ll send you a written quote for design services. If your project requires additional services, such as landscaping or specialized maintenance, we have a trusted network of professionals to refer you to.
Landscape Design with Purpose
I specialise in thoughtful, site-responsive landscape design that turns ideas into well-planned, liveable gardens. My focus is on creating cohesive outdoor spaces that reflect how you live, your personal style, and the unique conditions of your site.
Every garden begins with a strong concept. Through a clear design process, I help you visualise the layout, planting style, and overall feel of your landscape before you invest in plants or construction. This approach ensures your garden is planned, practical, and designed to thrive—rather than a collection of plants added without direction.
I now work exclusively in landscape design and no longer offer garden maintenance. However, I’m happy to refer trusted gardeners and contractors to support you in implementing and caring for your new garden.
Whether you are starting from scratch or redefining an existing space, I provide professional guidance to help you move forward with confidence and clarity.
Detailed Drawings
Once you are happy with the concept plan, detailed drawings can be prepared to guide the next stage of your landscape. These drawings provide a basic schedule for carrying out the work, helping landscapers understand the layout, planting, and sequence.
On-site measurements and final material selections will be confirmed by your landscaper. The detailed drawings serve as a clear starting point, ensuring your vision is communicated, work is well-coordinated, and your garden develops exactly as planned.
